Custom Quilting

2025

My mom quilted as long as I've known her. In 2015, she suffered a brain aneurysm behind her retina and slowly lost her sight. The blocks in this quilt were the last quilt blocks she made. With her failing sight, most of the points of the stars stopped before the standard 1/4" seam and points rarely matched. I decided to use this as a design feature so I had "floating" elements. It was also the last quilt I quilted on a table top machine before getting my first longarm. This quilt proudly sits at the foot of my bed as a cherished reminder of a beautiful life lived. ❤️
