You did it!  The quilt top is finished!  It is time to turn it into a quilt!  But now what?  That is where I come in.  We will work together to determine the best quilting design(s) for your project.  It is super easy (and fast), I promise!

Do you want a consistent pattern stitched across the layers known as a pantograph or edge-to-edge quilting?  Or do you want something truly special and custom enhancing the design elements of your piecing and quilt top?   

Once you decide how you want your quilt quilted, simply fill out the Quilt Quote form, prepare your quilt top ship, and get it to me.  Once I receive it, I will look over the top carefully, verify the details from your form, let you know if I see any issues, and then I quilt it as you requested.

During the process, I will send photos and keep you posted.  Upon completion, I send final photos and the invoice.  Once the invoice is paid, I ship it back to you just as you shipped it to me.  That's it!  (See?  Easy.)​

​Pantographs are quilting designs that use a repeating, continuous pattern to cover an entire quilt top.  A computerized longarm machine reads a digital file and precisely stitches the repeating pattern.  The result is evenly distributed, professional-quality quilting from edge to edge.  See my Portfolio for examples of quilts I've stitched using pantographs.

Custom quilting is a detailed machine-quilting method where unique, section-specific designs are stitched into individual blocks, borders, and sashing rather than using a single repeating pattern.​  For example: the center of a block may have a flower but the border may have vines and leaves.  I had a bald eagle panel once that I quilted every feather to add realistic texture to this majestic creature.  Every quilt top inspires me to do something unique and custom for that quilt top. No worries!  There are thousands of pantograph designs out there.  Simply let me know what you are looking for. If I don't have a pattern in my current library, I will happily cover half the cost of purchasing a new one so we can get the exact design you have in mind.  Great vendors with the highest quality to look at for other designs include:

Typical turnaround is 1-2 weeks (with no rush fee!) from the day I receive your quilt top and backing, though this can vary with seasonal demand (especially around the holidays).   Just ask when you book and I'll let you know my current availability.

For most projects, I need your pieced quilt top (or t-shirts) and your backing fabric (see the Quilt Prep page for how to prepare both).  Pack items in a bag or sack to protect against moisture, then place them in a securely taped, clearly labeled hard-sided box for shipping. 

You can include your batting or save yourself shipping getting it to me, and I can supply it for you for an additional cost.

I carry several batting options in-house (Quilters Dream Bamboo, Pellon 80/20, Pellon Heavyweight Cotton).  Batting is priced per linear inch of the shortest side of your quilt plus 5 inches.  I can order specialty battings like Dream Wool, Dream Puff, or recycled-bottle batting on request though it will delay me starting your project until I receive the special order batting. 

Pantograph or edge-to-edge computerized longarm quilting is 2.9 cents per square inch and custom quilting is 6.5 cents per square inch with a $50 minimum. Batting, backing, binding assembly, and ironing are priced separately and listed on the Services/Rates page. The intake form calculates an initial estimate for you.  The estimate will be finalized once I receive your quilt and verify everything.  It is fast, affordable, and easy!  

Yes, of course! If you are local to the McDonough, Georgia area, drop-off and pick-up are both available. If you are farther away, simply mail-in your quilt top or t-shirts and backing.  I ship completed quilts back via UPS or USPS Priority Mail, whichever is more economical.

Yes. Your quilt is fully insured and cared for with the same care I give my own projects, whether it is in my studio or in transit. USPS Priority Mail includes $50 of insurance and tracking by default; let me know on your intake form if you would like additional insurance purchased on your behalf.

Absolutely — quilt repair is one of my specialties. Send photos of the damage along with your quilt, and I will assess the best approach to restore it while preserving as much of the original piecing and fabric as possible.

Send me your favorite t-shirts (or other meaningful fabric items) and I will design a completely custom layout — no cookie-cutter templates. Start the process on the T-Shirt Quilt page, where you can share your t-shirt count and any layout preferences.

Once your project is complete, I will invoice you by email with a secure payment link. I accept ACH bank transfer (my preference, as it keeps prices down) as well as Visa and Mastercard. Prompt payment helps me get your finished quilt back in the mail right away.  

Yes. Once quilting is complete, I photograph your quilt in my well-lit studio and text or email you the images to keep or share. If you post them publicly, I just ask for a credit to Peas In A Pod Quilting.

Georgia law requires me to collect 8% sales tax on tangible items such as batting, backing, binding fabric, and shipping for customers in Georgia. This is itemized clearly on your final invoice.  If you do not live in Georgia, I do not charge sales tax.  Services such as quilting and ironing are not taxed in Georgia.
