I customize your quilt based on the graphics on your shirts.  Your t-shirt quilt should look like yours — not like the one from a website template or a big-box craft store. Every layout I design is built around your specific shirts, your specific story, and what will actually look good when it's done.  It is a collaborative process so that 

What can I use to make my T-Shirt Quilt?

 

  • T-shirts with logos or graphics on the main body front, back, pocket, and or sleeve

  • button down shirts and flannel shirts

How does this work?

  1. Gather your shirts. The more you bring, the more we have to work with.  

  2. We talk through the design. You tell me what matters most, and I put together a layout plan that makes sense for your shirts and your quilt size.  I 

  3. I confirm the layout and price with you. You approve the layout and then I email you a final quote so you know exactly what you will be paying.  Once you approve the layout and final quote, I get to work.

  4. The quilt top is made. I cut each shirt or item to a size that fits the graphic or item and piece them together.

  5. The quilt top is quilted and bound.  You choose the quilting design to further customize your quilt.  I stitch through 3 layers: your quilt top, a cotton blend batting and a backing.  This means there is stitching across the whole quilt making it durable and washable.  T-shirt blankets without quilting aren't as durable (or cuddly).

  6. It comes home. I send you a picture of your completed quilt.  The balance is paid and I send it back to you.  ​​

What is included in the price?

 

My all-inclusive and hassle-free service includes:

  • Collaborative design process

  • ​Cutting and assembly

  • 1” sashing if option chosen

  • 3" border​

  • batting

  • backing 

  • edge-to-edge quilting using a design from my collection

  • 1/4" binding

Customized options such as minky or fleece backing are available for an additional cost. 

Pricing and Turnaround

T-shirt quilt pricing depends on the number of shirts and the size of the finished quilt. I'll give you an exact quote once we've talked through what you have and what you want. No surprises.

Base price: $125

Each shirt: $10 per side (if you want a front and a back, that is 2 sides)

Sashing (optional): $1.00 per shirt

Turnaround is approximately 3-4 weeks once I receive the box of t-shirts and you approve the final quote and layout.
